Revolutionary cooling and heating
Mitsubishi Electric cooling and heating systems use advanced technologies to provide the ultimate in comfort control while minimizing energy consumption.
Some of the featured components of the systems include the following items:

INVERTER-driven compressor systems use only the exact amount of energy needed to cool or heat an area. So you can save energy and money while enjoying complete control over your comfort year-round.

Zone control is one of the main technological benefits our systems offer, enabling you to control the temperature within any space that has an indoor unit installed. The ability to condition the spaces in use and not keep unoccupied spaces conditioned allows exceptional energy conservation. Individualized comfort control is available from one to eight rooms connected to a single outdoor unit.

Standard and enhanced filtration systems provide air filtration that utilizes washable filters that can last up to 10 years; this feature is good both for you and the environment. Hybrid Catechin and blue-enzyme filters contained in each indoor unit remove allergens; each room has its own filter, therefore preventing cross contamination of air from room to room. Select systems incorporate an additional Platinum Catalyst filter for additional odor elimination

Hot-Start™ technology regulates the fan on the indoor unit so that it does not blow any air until the unit has reached the desired temperature, thus preventing drafts of cold air.

i-see™ Sensor scans the lower portions of the room to detect hot or cold spots and to adjust temperature and airflow accordingly to maintain consistent comfort.

H2i® technology, available on select systems, provides heating capability effectively and efficiently even when temperatures outside fall as low as -13º F.  This technology provides heat in extreme climates either to supplement existing systems or to serve as the main system in a new addition.

  • More energy efficient than traditional HVAC Systems
  • Use only the exact amount of energy needed to maintain comfort
  • Are up to 40% more efficient than window units

The majority of the systems are ENERGY STAR qualified and many systems are eligible for federal and state tax credits plus local utility rebates.

INVERTER technology
Mitsubishi Electric cooling and heating systems are dramatically more efficient than traditional HVAC systems. Utilizing INVERTER-driven compressors, the systems automatically adjust to changing conditions to deliver ideal comfort while only using the energy that is needed. No more. No less.
As a result, the systems are up to 40% more efficient than standard window units for cooling and our heating performance is far superior to traditional heat pumps. All this technological innovation means you reduce your energy consumption and can save money on your energy costs while enjoying the comfort of your home.
Why pay to cool/heat your home all year long when you only live in a few rooms at a time? With Mitsubishi Electric, you can actively condition the rooms you live in; the other rooms simply turn off or setback. Zoning your home to how you live using Mitsubishi Electric allows you to save energy while maximizing your personal comfort.

Allergen Filtration HVAC
The systems feature multi-stage allergen filtration for cleaner, healthier air.

  • Removes particulates and contaminants from the air with continuous fan operation for better air circulation
  • Easy-to-clean hybrid catechin pre-filters absorb odors and last up to 10 years
  • Anti-allergen filter traps dust, allergens and other particles to improve indoor air quality (IAQ)
  • Platinum Deodorizing filter (select systems) uses nanotechnology for highly effective odor absorption

It's a fact that surprises many people. The air quality inside your home is often worse than the air quality outside. Mitsubishi Electric cooling and heating systems use a sophisticated multi-stage filtration system to help remove airborne particles and contaminants such as allergens, viruses, and bacteria from the air as they circulate within a room.

The large hybrid catechin pre-filter absorbs odor-causing gases. A blue-enzyme, anti-allergen filter helps reduce germs, bacteria, and viruses and helps trap dust, pollens, mites, and other particles that plague allergy sufferers. Some systems also include a Platinum Catalyst deodorizing filter to further reduce unpleasant odors. As a result you enjoy pristine air 24/7.

Easy Maintenance
Although the filtration system is sophisticated, it's easy to clean and maintain.  You can perform this task in a matter of minutes. Simply open the indoor unit's filter access; slide the screens out; wash them off; allow them to dry completely, and then slide them back into the unit. With regular cleaning, the hybrid catechin filters can last up to 10 years. This capability not only saves money, but is also good for the environment.

Eco-comfort Technology: Energy Efficient Air Conditioners

The eco-comfort technology is friendly to you and the planet.

  • Industry-leading eco-comfort technology is built into every system.
  • Our products won the coveted 2009 GREEN PRODUCT award.

Eco-comfort technology is engineered into every aspect of our systems.

•Eco-friendly refrigerant: Environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant offers zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and allows for higher heat transfer coefficient (COP). This innovative feature means a reduction in equipment size, a reduction in piping size, and higher pressure for greater performance. Smaller equipment also means less impact on the environment at the end of the product's life cycle.

•Standard compliance: All Mitsubishi Electric HVAC products follow standards and guidelines as set forth by the ENERGY STAR, EPA, AHRI, UL, ASHRAE, ETL, and ISO.

Recycling design: The Mitsubishi air conditioners are specially designed to allow for easy cleaning, efficient disassembly, and more practical recycling. The number of parts used in indoor units has been reduced by adopting modular components, a process which also simplifies materials separation for recycling. To date as much as 84 percent of the materials used to build a Mr. Slim system is recyclable.

•Smart energy usage: Mitsubishi Electric INVERTER zoning systems smartly deliver only the cooling and heating capacity needed, unlike a traditional full-power ON cooling and heating system. Individual indoor air handlers, ductless or ducted, are installed within the zone. These air handlers measure the load for that specific zone and for added efficiency deliver only the capacity needed directly to the space compared to energy lost in long ductwork runs. If a zone is not being used, you do not have to condition that space (or you can individually set it back). Smarter sensing technology and microprocessors enhance the system's ability to measure room temperature accurately for added comfort, performance and efficiency.

•Minimal impact on landfills: All Mitsubishi Electric air-conditioning products use long-life washable filters.
More than a tag line, it is a philosophy
Because the systems help you reduce your energy consumption in your home, you are doing your part to leave less of a footprint on the environment, all while saving money on your energy bill.
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation embraces the Environmental Vision 2021 initiative, which sets dramatic goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions (for example: reducing Carbon Dioxide emissions from product usage by 30%), recycling resources, and raising environmental awareness by 2021. It should be noted that while many corporations are joining the "green" movement today, the Environmental Vision 2021 initiative was created by Mitsubishi Electric in 1991 as a thirty-year effort.
Industry awards
In 2009 Mitsubishi Electric was given the GREEN PRODUCT award by the industry leading publication Building Products Magazine. We were one of only 16 products to receive this award for energy efficiency, resource efficiency, and health and comfort.
We even promote sustainability through our distributor network by offering training classes that instruct participants on the proper methods of installing systems and handling and recovering refrigerants. The company provides increased warranties for contractors who complete commissioning reports that confirm proper system installations.
Installing Your Mitsubishi Air Conditioning System.

Easy installation with little disorder or disruption to your life.

  • Installing our system is easy for a contractor.
  • We offer different styles of indoor unit options to meet your personal needs.
  • Our outdoor units have a small footprint and can be placed conveniently or even hidden by foliage to complete the system.

Typical installation
One of the great features of the Mitsubishi Electric system is its ease of installation. A qualified contractor can usually install it in about a day. There is little to no ductwork required so you don't have to worry about disorder in your home interrupting your life or costly remodeling expenses. The sleek indoor unit mounts discreetly within the space, and a pair of refrigerant lines plus power and control wiring connect it to the outdoor unit through a small three-inch opening in the wall.
Mitsubishi Air Conditioning System
Different styles of indoor units

Ducted style. When a ducted model is selected as the indoor unit that best fits your need, it can easily be installed either in the ceiling or beneath the floor in a crawl space or basement. This style accommodates the use of short duct runs and registers to deliver and return air from the space to the unit.

Wall-mounted style. A wall-mounted unit mounts high on a wall and is unobtrusive to the visual area within a room. The wall unit models are similar in white color but come in two different designs that have different features that enhance their functions within the space.

Floor-standing style. The floor-standing model attaches to the wall six inches above the floor in areas where there is minimal or no wall space.

Outdoor units complete the system
The outdoor units for each of the systems have a small physical footprint to take up as little space outside as possible and can even be hidden by foliage. With the use of LINE-HIDE line-set cover accessory, the lines connecting the indoor to outdoor unit can be cleanly hidden.  The PVC material of LINE-HIDE can be painted to match the exterior so that as little visual change as possible will be apparent.
